TITUSVILLE, PA – Salvage Direct, a company that finds buyers for damaged vehicles, has purchased West Penn Auction Sales, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in a news release from the buyer, Salvage Direct. West Penn Auction Sales, located in Adamsburg, operates the auction of salvaged cars, trucks and RVs for those with dealer or wrecker lot licenses.

Salvage Direct, based in Titusville, Pa., about 50 miles southeast of Erie, Pa., helps insurance companies find buyers for damaged vehicles, primarily cars and motorcycles.

"We are thrilled about this recent acquisition because it will greatly increase our capacity to meet the growing demand for our auction services in western Pennsylvania", Salvage Direct CEO Dan Hoversten said in a statement.
