DALLAS– Toyota distributors from all across the globe recently visited ADESA Dallas, where they attended a half-day program at the auction. The event, part of a week-long training conference organized by Toyota’s Global Knowledge Center, was aimed at giving attendees a flavor for the U.S. wholesale used-car remarketing industry. Attendees at the Used-Vehicle Remarketing conference included representatives from Argentina, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, France, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand, Australia, Belgium, the United States, and Canada. Field managers from both independent and company-owned distributorships attended the conference.
The Toyota Global Knowledge Center, located in Torrance, Calif., was established in July 2002 as the organization for promoting the TOYOTA WAY in Sales and Marketing (TWSM). The Center plays a key role in training distributors globally about the philosophy of TWSM, disseminating sales best practices around the world, and promoting shared values.
