FORT WORTH, TEXAS – AmeriCredit Corp. has named Rawls Auto Auction in Leesville, S.C., as its 2006 Auction of the Year as part of the company’s nationwide Auction of Excellence program.

The Auction of Excellence program is based on customer service and highest recovery rate. AmeriCredit representatives assess each auction’s performance in a variety of categories, including organization of sale, quality of vehicle reconditioning, dealer turnout, and average recovery rate for AmeriCredit vehicles. In addition, they evaluate pre-sale services such as vehicle transportation and condition reports.

As the top auction in the Southeast region, Rawls Auto Auction competed with other regional award recipients for this year’s national honor. The other 2006 regional winners are:

Midwest – Adesa’s Des Moines Auto Auction in Grimes, Iowa.

Northeast – Harrisburg Auto Auction in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Southwest – Lubbock Auto Auction in Lubbock, Texas.

West Coast – Manheim’s Portland Auto Auction in Portland, Ore.
