ATLANTA – AutoTrader.com has announced several enhancements to its MyAutoTrader.com feature — a function that allows consumers to save vehicles and searches to their own personal "shopping cart.”

Registered users of MyAutoTrader.com can now receive e-mail alerts when newly-listed cars are added to the site and will also have the option to filter searches to reveal only recently-posted vehicles to the site.

The new e-mail alert service notifies members via e-mail when newly-listed cars matching their previously defined search criteria are posted to the site. These newly-listed vehicles displayed in conjunction with the alerts can also include recommended cars from local area dealers that match the consumers’ search criteria. Registered users may choose to receive alerts on either a daily or weekly basis.

MyAutoTrader.com users can now view results from their saved search criteria posted over the past 24 hours or the past week. The feature provides customization and flexibility for those car shoppers who would like to view only the most recent vehicle listings since their last visit to the site, but would prefer not to receive the e-mail alerts.

Consumers manage their customized alerts on the My Alerts page when they sign-in to MyAutoTrader.com. Users may also opt-in to subscriptions to receive shopping tips, promotional messages and other useful information.
