RIO LINDA, CA – A celebration marked Brasher’s Sacramento Auto Auction’s 29th Anniversary in March, an event which shattered attendance and sales records. General Manager Rex Roden reported the auction sold 2,179 vehicles during the anniversary celebration and posted a sales rate of 65 percent.

The event opened with a Ford Factory sale and, on March 26t, Brasher’s transformed the auction arena into an elegant restaurant with gourmet cuisine and a special performance by comic impressionist Steve Bridges, appearing as “Mr. President” at Brasher’s LIVE! Following the entertainment, the auction held a 500-vehicle auction, featuring units from Hertz, Freelance Repo Remarketing, and a number of new car dealerships.

The next day saw Brasher’s biggest sale of the year, with vehicles from Ford Credit, Hertz, PHH, Vanguard Car Rental, Enterprise, Wachovia Dealer Services, Freelance, Wheels, ARI, RSA, Lobel Financial, AL Financial, Fireside Bank, Fleet Lease Disposal, Flexco, Bank of Stockton, and Auto Auction Associates, in addition to the largest dealer consignment the auction has recorded at a single sale. More than 2,700 units were offered to a crowd of more than 1,100 buyers.

To conclude the anniversary celebration, Brasher’s hosted a 600-unit Chrysler Factory sale on March 29.

More than 1,100 dealers attended Brasher’s 29th Anniversary Sale March 28. Most stayed to the very end of the day, hoping to be named the winner of the grand prize giveaway: a custom 2006 Mustang.
