CARMEL, IN – ADESA Corp. has announced several recent promotions in the ADESA Charlotte management team. Joe Guyer has been promoted to the GM spot with Brent Busby taking over as the auction’s AGM. Larry Hammill has also been promoted, taking on the commercial accounts manager position.

Guyer joined ADESA Indianapolis in 1994 as the auction’s bank repossessions coordinator. In 1996, he was promoted to fleet/lease manager. In 1998, he was promoted to assistant general manager and transferred to ADESA Charlotte. Guyer is a 2003 graduate of the inaugural ADESA Leadership Development Program.

Busby joined ADESA Charlotte in 1998 as operations manager. Busby’s start in the industry came in 1987 at the Bishop Brothers Auto Auction in Atlanta. In 1988, he transferred to the Atlanta Auto Auction, working in a number of roles, including body shop manager, reconditioning manager, and lot manager.

Prior to assuming his new role at ADESA Charlotte as commercial accounts manager, Hammill has served as the auction’s fleet/lease manager since 2005. Hammill previously held the fleet/lease coordinator position at ADESA Charlotte from 1999 to 2002. He also held the fleet/lease manager position for the Chattanooga Auto Auction from 2002 to 2005.
