SMYRNA, TN and ARLINGTON, TEXAS – The National Association of Fleet Resale Dealers (NAFRD) has selected the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA) as the new management company to help provide the framework for NAFRD’s revitalization and growth. NIADA effectively became NAFRD’s management company Jan. 1.

This new management will set NAFRD on a fresh path for 2007 while maintaining the association's mission of maximizing client yields, increasing quality and services, and actively developing new domestic and international partners.

NAFRD President Jeff Dodd said the decision was made to seek new management in an effort to help the association's growth.

Among its objectives, NIADA has plans to boost NAFRD's membership and improve convention scheduling, quality of speakers, and the association's trade show development.

The NIADA staff is currently planning the NAFRD 2007 Convention scheduled for Oct. 4-7 in San Antonio, Texas, at the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk. Plans have also begun for developing the new NAFRD e-newsletter. Content will be aimed at keeping members in tune with association activities and will formally keep members aware of crucial industry developments.
