EUGENE, OR – Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction’s 2nd Annual Checkered Flag event is set for Aug. 29 and 30. The event’s first heat will be held Aug. 29 with Race Day and will be followed on Aug. 30 by the auction’s biggest sale of the year.

Dealers will enjoy a variety of activities, including a special Tuesday night sale with up to 300 units. In addition, auction guests will hit the track with go-kart racing and remote control mini-NASCAR racing.

Proving a big hit with last year’s crowd, a special and collector car show will return to this year’s checkered flag event. Dealers will also enjoy a steak dinner catered by Emerald Deli & Catering.

Sale day will start early Wed., with up to 1,500 units on eight auction lanes. All attending agents will receive a free t-shirt, enjoy corn dogs and root beer floats throughout the day, and be eligible for racing prizes in every lane. General Manager Lisa Larkin reported that several different float plans will be offered at the Checkered Flag Sale, including a buyer activated float on all dealer units, and free floats on all new car store vehicles.

At sale end, the crowd will gather for the drawing for the grand prize: a 2006 Honda VTZ1300C Cruiser. All auction customers buying or selling in August will earn a chance to win the grand prize.
