RICHMOND, VA – CarMax, Inc. and Experian Automotive announced that consumers can now access Experian's AutoCheck vehicle histories on all CarMax used vehicles. Expanding the successful relationship between the two companies, the agreement allows customers browsing carmax.com, or shopping at any CarMax superstore, to instantly review an online AutoCheck vehicle history report at no cost. AutoCheck is a leading information source on the vehicle history of used automobiles.
Prior to retailing any used vehicle, CarMax has always reviewed vehicle history reports as part of its Certified Quality Inspection program. By making the AutoCheck vehicle history reports instantly accessible online, customers shopping on carmax.com can review the latest AutoCheck report available. Customers can quickly and easily confirm that the vehicle has not been previously reported as a lemon or having major flood damage, frame damage, or odometer rollback issues, along with other key information.
"Consumers need peace of mind when purchasing a used vehicle, and they deserve the most up-to-date vehicle history information available," said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. "AutoCheck's vehicle history reports bring an additional dimension of worry-free ownership, and we are pleased to partner with CarMax to help their customers make educated and safe decisions when purchasing a used vehicle."
AutoCheck enables car buyers to quickly access the history of any used vehicle. By leveraging Experian's National Vehicle Database of over half a billion vehicles, AutoCheck reveals possible undisclosed or unknown problems, such as salvage and flood damage history that can affect an automobile's safety and resale value.
