Carfax Added to Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Program

FAIRFAX, VA – Carfax has been selected as another key element of the Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Program.

Beginning May 1, 2006, every Lexus dealer will be required to run a Carfax Vehicle History Report on all vehicles submitted for certification. In addition to meeting Lexus' stringent quality standards, each vehicle must qualify for the Carfax Buyback Guarantee.

Every Certified Lexus vehicle must undergo a 161-plus point inspection performed by Lexus trained technicians to ensure they meet Lexus’ mechanical and performance specifications. After passing this inspection, each certified vehicle is covered by a Lexus-backed 3 years/100,000 total vehicle mile warranty. Free Carfax Vehicle History Reports come with every Lexus Certified Pre-owned vehicle and can be viewed on many online marketplaces such as AutoTrader.com and cars.com.
