LAS VEGAS – Bobit Business Media hosted the 11th annual Conference of Automotive Remarketing March 8-10, 2006, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, attracted more than 500 industry attendees to discuss the latest trends in vehicle remarketing.

Sponsors for the show included remarketing leaders Southern Auto Auction, the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance, autoIMS, ServNet, Manheim, ADESA, Driveitaway, AutoCheck, AutoVIN, Flexco, Onlane, Auctionpipeline, and Used Car News.

The conference hosted industry experts, from speakers to moderated panels, to cover the wholesale automotive remarketing sector.

Keynoters David Gartzke, chairman, president, and CEO of ADESA, and Eric Overby, remarketing industry researcher from Emory University, headlined the show. Topics included changes in remarketing channels, physical versus virtual auctions, trends inform banks and captives, and the overall market landscape and strategies.

Highlighting CAR was the presentation of the Remarketer of the Year Award, given to Southern Auto Auction owner Larry Tribble. The Consignor of the Year Award was presented to Dave Langley, manager of vehicle remarketing for American Honda Financial Services. Upstream Remarketer of the Year was awarded to Gage Wagoner of Philips Medical Systems.
