ATLANTA – Manheim’s Tucson Auto Auction sold 132 recreational vehicles and 13 boats at the largest RV sale in the auction’s history Feb. 17. Approximately 150 buyers participated in the sale, bidding on the 193 registered boats and RVs from commercial and dealer consignors.

The sale was the most successful RV sale in the auction’s history, with five units selling for more than $100,000, including one unit for $186,000. More than 75 percent of the registered units were sold.

Mark Pugliese, dealer sales manager for Tucson Auto Auction, said the success of this sale is an indication of the tremendous growth of the RV sale that started three years ago.

“We have seen a consistent 30 to 40 percent increase per year in the RV sale from its inception three years ago,” he said.

Manheim’s Tucson Auto Auction hosts an RV sale on the third Friday of every month and is one of Manheim’s 20 specialty sale locations across the country. It is one of seven specialty RV auctions offering Manheim Automotive Financial Services program for RV buyers. Tucson’s next RV sale, scheduled for March 17 at 9 a.m., is expected to bring in more than 200 registered units.
