CARMEL, IN – ADESA Corp. has named David Carp its new assistant general manager at ADESA Atlanta effective immediately.

Carp’s entry into the remarketing industry began in 1986 where he was a wholesaler for Atlantic Auto Exchange in Portsmouth, Va.

From 1989 to 1992, he served as import vehicle manager for the National Automobile Dealers Association.

From 1992 to 1995, he was Nissan Motor’s regional remarketing manager for the Southeastern U.S.

In 1996, he assumed the role of general manager of remarketing for AutoNation USA in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

From 1997 to 1999, he worked as a senior buyer for CarMax.

In 1999, he joined Saab Cars USA, Inc. as manager of its dealer programs, eventually moving into the national remarketing manager role.

In 2001, Carp joined Volvo Cars of North America as its national asset remarketing manager.

Before joining ADESA, Carp served as the national manager in charge of fleet and remarketing for Kia Motors America over the past four years.
