ATLANTA – Manheim recently named David Young, a 30-year veteran of the automotive industry, to the newly created position of group vice president of fixed operations businesses, overseeing all of Manheim’s reconditioning and vehicle repair services, in addition to its conversion service and the company’s new Total Resource Auctions (TRA) division.

Young most recently served as vice president of operations for the Florida region and will relocate to Manheim’s home office in Atlanta.

In his new role, Young will report to Porter. The following people will report to Young:

  • David Munnikhuysen, vice president of reconditioning operations.

  • Kelly Conger, president of Dent Wizard.

  • Bill Tiedemann, vice president and general manager of TRA.

  • Kevin Beattie, current head of collision.

    Young, a native of Gulfport, Miss., graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1975 and joined Manheim in 2000. During his career, Young has served as vice president of operations and eastern regional director of operations for ADT Automotive, and as general manager of ADT Automotive’s Nashville Auto Auction.
