ATLANTA – Manheim’s Keystone Auto Auction in Grantville, Pa., has been added to the Total Resource Auctions (TRA) network of salvage wholesale auctions.

Ron James has been hired as TRA manager. James, who previously managed four salvage auction locations for independent salvage wholesaler Central Penn Sales (now Copart), brings 13 years of experience in salvage auction sales and management to Keystone.

Keystone Auto Auction will begin conducting bi-weekly salvage sales in March in addition to its weekly dealer consignment and monthly specialty (boat and RV) sales. The TRA sales will be held every other Monday at 9 a.m. The auction expects to run approximately 150 units per sale and to attract 250 buyers, who will participate in the lanes or online via Simulcast. The auction expects to sell at least 5,000 salvage or inoperable units this year and is pursuing agreements with large insurance carriers in hopes of increasing that volume.

TRA allows buyers and sellers to securely exchange damaged, inoperative, and salvage vehicles through Manheim’s TRA locations and Web-based products, including Simulcast. With the addition of Keystone, TRA increases to 17 Manheim locations.
