MT. ARLINGTON, NJ – The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) announced that the next IARA Roundtable event, designed to address the needs and priorities of vehicle remarketers, will co-locate with the 11th annual Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR) March 8-10 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The IARA will present an outline of its Certified Automotive Remarketer (CAR) program at one of the Roundtable sessions at the IARA March 8 meeting. Members of the IARA Certification Task Force, chaired by Mike Antich of Bobit Business Media, will ask for comments and recommendations for the program. The IARA CAR program is proposed to be complete within one year but candidates will have up to three years to finish. Anyone involved in remarketing with three consecutive years of experience in the industry will be eligible. There will be five major segments to the program: Remarketing Channels; Pre-Sale Activities; Actual Vehicle Sale; Post-Sale Activities; and Factors That Influence Resale Values. The IARA Certification Stakeholders Panel will also review the program prior to the March 8 Roundtable Session.

Working together, Roundtable participants will define and prioritize key developmental requirements that will be presented to appropriate industry groups. The Roundtable sessions will feature a discussion on the IARA Cerification Program and Vehicle Values: Complete or Incomplete? The Roundtable on Vehicle Values will be co-moderated by Raj Sundaram, president, Automotive Lease Guide and Charlie Vogelheim of J.D. Power & Associates. A seminar on Process Management will be held following the Roundtables. Jim Hallett, president of Columbus Fair Auto Auction, will be the Keynote Speaker at the IARA Circle of Excellence Award luncheon.

All registered CAR attendees may attend the IARA Circle of Excellence Award luncheon and the afternoon roundtable discussions held March 8.
