NORTHBROOK, IL – Dallas Fort Worth Auto Auction in Fort Worth, Texas, is the nation's top-performing resale vendor for remarketing Donlen vehicles in 2005, according to Donlen Corp. The auction narrowly edged out several vendors across the country.
For the third straight year, Pennsylvania Auto Dealers’ Exchange was the top-ranked vendor in the Northeast, and Indiana Auto Auction placed first in the Central Region for the second consecutive year. Brasher's Cascade Auto Auction, last year’s highest-ranked vendor in the West, tied for top honors this year with Greater Auto Auction of Phoenix. Also tied for first place in the Midwest were two-time regional winner ADESA Wisconsin Auto Auction and Northstar Auto Auction. Mississippi Auto Auction had the best rating in the Southeast.
The Donlen awards take into account performance during the 2005 calendar year. To qualify, remarketing outlets must meet criteria for consistently selling multiple Donlen vehicles throughout the year. They are then rated based on number of days to pickup; days to sell; and average sale price compared to actual auction results for similar vehicles. Donlen’s scoring system precisely calculated performance statistics to one-one hundredth of a percent; in cases where a negligible quantity separated the top contenders, Donlen felt that a tie was appropriate.
Statesville Auto Auction was top-ranked nationally in 2004, ADESA Tulsa scored highest in 2003, and Mississippi Auto Auction was first in 2002.
