ATLANTA – Manheim’s San Antonio Auto Auction in San Antonio, Texas, has joined the Total Resource Auctions network, becoming the 11th Manheim auction to offer advanced salvage auction services.

The auction is conducting its Total Resource Auctions salvage sales every other Wednesday at 9 a.m. in addition to its weekly auctions and Friday “TGIF” sales. Buyers participate in the lanes or online via Manheim Simulcast.

“San Antonio is positioned to offer diverse and responsive services to a large geographic region that includes Texas, its bordering state,s and even dealers from our Latin American neighbors to the south,” said General Manager Eddie Piatnik.

Currently the auction has one salvage lane and is running 100 vehicles per week on average at its TRA sales. Piatnik said the auction has plans to expand its current facility. San Antonio Auto Auction was the first Manheim auction to offer Simulcast for GM and Chrysler.

“We hope to build our salvage sale with this new program,” Piatnik said. “There are other sales in the area, but we will offer better service and a broader base of buyers.”

Total Resource Auctions allows buyers and sellers to securely exchange damaged, inoperative and salvage vehicles through Manheim’s TRA locations and Web-based products, including Simulcast and Online Vehicle Exchange.

With the addition of San Antonio Auto Auction, Manheim now has 11 facilities conducting Total Resource Auctions sales. Two more locations are expected to be added by the end of the year.
