CHARLESTON, SC - Charleston Auto Auction’s second annual Hoedown will be held Fri., Oct. 21. The auction expects a consignment of more than 800 vehicles for the sale. In addition to the action on the block, the auction will give away over $35,000 in cash and prizes. The event kicks of at 8 a.m. with a free breakfast.

“We anticipate that this will be our third largest consignment sale of the year,” said Bo Baxter, the auction’s marketing manager. “Our annual Luau, Pig Pickin’ Breakfast and Car Sale; and the Four Anniversary Sale, both held earlier this year, generated record-breaking numbers for us. We’re very optimistic about setting new records at this year’s Hoedown as well.”

Charleston Auto Auction prides itself on its ‘Count on us’ attitude, and creative themes for its consignment sales. This year’s Hoedown will showcase a consignment of motorcycles and entertain dealers attending the sale with a mechanical bull-riding event.

Auction lanes will showcase fleet/lease/bank repo units, franchise dealer trades, special consignments, trucks, and SUVs. Fleet/lease/bank consignments expected at the sale will include units from ARI, Enterprise, Heritage Bank & Trust, First Investors, Wheels, American General, and many others. At the end of the sale, 21 dealers will be named the big winners of the day, as drawings will be held for cash and prizes, including a brand-new Harley Davidson motorcycle. Baxter explained that auction customers can increase their chances to won by consigning, buying, and selling vehicles at the Hoedown and the five weeks preceding the Hoedown sale.

“Starting September 16, the auction has been sponsoring an All-Float sale event which will run through the Hoedown,” added Baxter. “We want to give our customers every opportunity to increase their chances of winning big in October.”
