RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – CU Remarketing Services will donate $25 per vehicle processed to the relief victims of Hurricane Katrina during the next two months. All donations will be made on behalf of Credit Union clients. Americans across the nation are contributing to the most catastrophic natural disaster to hit this nation.

CU Remarketing Services is also holding a charity golf tournament Oct. 3 at the private Alta Vista golf club in Placentia, Calif. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross in their relief effort for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Individuals or corporations interested in participation or sponsorships are urged to contact Gary Moffatt at (951) 549-8495 or garym@cufsolutions.com.

It has been reported that the Red Cross has collected over $21 million dollars already with $15 million coming from individual donations. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce also reported that initial corporate donations to the relief effort will total more than $100 million in the coming weeks.

CU Remarketing Services will donate the money to The American Red Cross who is working in concert with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to house and feed thousands of people in Mississippi and Louisiana. It is estimated that this will be the largest response to a single natural disaster in the 124-year history of The American Red Cross.

“CU Remarketing Services and its employees are overwhelmed by the sheer devastation and human suffering by Americans who are affected by Hurricane Katrina. One of our strategic partners, ASR Recovery Services is located in Jackson, Miss., and we understand that many of their employees have lost everything,” said CEO Gary Moffatt.
