SMYRNA, TN - With a nod to the past and renewed vision for the future, current and former leaders of the National Association of Fleet Resale Dealers (NAFRD) recently met in Las Vegas to set a fresh course. The 100-member organization, which handles in excess of 100,000 vehicles per year valued at approximately $2 billion, just celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The August Past Presidents’ Summit included strategic planning and setting goals and direction. NAFRD vision and mission include providing “superior service to the fleet industry through education, technology, networking, and strategic alliances.”

In the near future, those outside of NAFRD can expect to see larger, more inclusive annual conferences. The next conference takes place Oct. 6-9 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert, Calif. The conference includes networking opportunities and educational topics on issues such as maximizing return on investment and building a strong retail business.
