ATLANTA – Manheim’s Toronto Auto Auction in Milton, Ontario, has been added to the Total Resource Auctions network of wholesale salvage auctions.

Total Resource Auctions allows buyers and sellers to securely move damaged, inoperative and salvage vehicles through selected Manheim locations and Web-based products, including Simulcast and Online Vehicle Exchange. Buyers can participate in every sale either at the auction or online.

Toronto Auto Auction, Canada’s largest wholesale auto auction with 16 lanes, has scheduled its Total Resource Auctions salvage sales on the first and third Thursdays of each month, said General Manager Brad Hart.

“We’d been running a monthly salvage sale for 10 years and just about a year ago went to twice a month,” Hart said. “Salvage is generating a lot of attention worldwide, and under the Total Resource Auctions platform, we will be able to meet growing customer demand and provide even better customer service, value, selection and customized solutions for buyers and sellers.”

Hart said the auction already has a substantial number of U.S. and Canadian buyers registered on Manheim’s Simulcast, which allows participants to remotely bid on and buy vehicles as they are moving through the auction lanes. He expects Simulcast’s appeal to be a contributing factor in the auction’s ability to grow its salvage services.

“In late April we first began Simulcasting salvage sales, and already have had significant online interest and participation,” he said. “The choice for buyers to either participate online or physically attend the sale is what makes Total Resource Auctions sales unique. Buyers who physically attend the sales at Toronto will be particularly pleased to find the same convenience and comfort they experience in any of our lanes – we tow or drive every vehicle across the auction block.”

Toronto Auto Auction is the eighth Manheim location to operate under the Total Resource Auctions brand. As many as five more locations are expected to be added by year’s end.
