VANCOUVER, B.C. – Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Inc. conducted eight industrial auctions and five smaller agricultural auctions in five countries during the week of June 20-25. The largest auction of the week was conducted at the company's permanent auction site in Moerdijk (Rotterdam), the Netherlands, and generated gross auction sales of more than EURO 24 million (U.S.$29 million).

The three-day unreserved European auction, held June 21-23, drew customers from 54 countries to register and bid on more than 3,400 trucks and equipment. Customers from as far away as New Zealand, Peru, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa registered to participate in the auction. Items up for bid included more than 100 excavators, 30 wheel loaders, and 20 agricultural tractors.

Other auctions during the week included Phoenix; Albuquerque, N.M.; Brisbane and Melbourne, Australia; Olympia, Wash.; Atlanta, Ga.; and Livorno, Italy, as well as five smaller agricultural auctions in Canada across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
