COLUMBIA, MO – Kevin Brown has been promoted to the post of general manager at Missouri Auto Auction. Brown has been working for the auction since December of 2000, initially as new car store sales representative, and most recently as the sales manager. Prior his work for the auction, he was a beat cop and detective for the St. Louis Police Department.

“Looking over our reports for 2004, I can say that last year was a very good year for the auction, but 2005 is shaping up to be even better,” said Brown. “We’ve already sold 200 more vehicles in January and February than we did in the same months of 2004, and we’ve implemented an equipment sale that is proving very successful.”

Brown reports that Missouri Auto Auction’s first equipment sale was held on February 25th. At that first sale, 83 out of 125 total units sold.

Missouri Auto Auction is owned by Gregg and Dagmar Boswell, who also own the Kansas Auto Auction, in Elwood, Kan. The auction holds a sale every Friday at 9:30 am.
