Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle sales for Chrysler brand products were 2,843 units in February, an increase of 25 percent over the 2,273 units sold last year. The Jeep brand posted an increase of 13 percent to 2,019 units versus 1,719 units sold in February 2004. The Dodge brand posted flat year-over-year results with 4,326 units sold, but 15 percent higher than January 2005 results of 3,764 units.
Marketed as "Brand Spankin' Used," Chrysler Group Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles are only sold by Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep dealers that have earned the Five Star certification. Five Star Certification is a comprehensive validation of the dealership's facilities, operational processes, salesperson and technician training accreditation as well as customer satisfaction survey ratings. Approximately 2,400 Chrysler Group dealerships in the U.S. are certified as Five Star.
