CHICAGO - Auto Driveaway announced on February 14 its new officers, most of who will be in attendance at this year’s National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) Conference.

In a recent election held by A.D. Acquisition, LLC, (doing business as) Auto Driveaway, Michael Vickrey of New Orleans, La., was selected to be president of the board; Ira Applebaum of Phoenix, Ariz., was named vice president; Wayne Moss of Indianapolis, Ind., was chosen as the board’s new secretary; and Steve Westerfield of Omaha, Neb., was selected as treasurer.

The owners also appointed leaders of several committees to address such critical industry issues as operational excellence and safety. Chief among Auto Driveaway’s goals is to offer more customer service, while boosting technology, and facilitating behind the scenes operational enhancements.

Founded in 1952 by John Sohl, Auto Driveaway relocates commercial and private vehicles using its network of 49 offices in the U.S. and Canada. Company fleets and other commercial enterprises rely on Auto Driveaway to move their cars, trucks, and other specialty vehicles by employing professional drivers or facilitating transport by truck carrier.
