CARMEL, IN — ADESA Impact, the total loss management and salvage auction subsidiary of ADESA, Inc. has launched its Settlement Package Express (SPE) program. SPE is the latest generation of automation software, providing even greater efficiency to its title procurement process for total loss auto claims.

According to Cheryl Munce, Impact president, the SPE program is currently averaging a 16-day turnaround for obtaining the necessary title documents nationally. That compares to an industry average in excess of 40 days, which represents the single longest component of a total loss claim for insurers. Munce and Walsh say they believe the new features in the SPE program will produce further reductions in title cycle time while ensuring compliance with the unique title disclosure requirements of each state.

In other news, ADESA Impact has hired Brad Walsh as director of title administrative services. In his new role, Walsh will be responsible for Impact’s SPE program. Walsh brings 17 years of claims management experience in automotive claims services and product development. He has worked with leading insurance industry vendors including CCC Information Service and Marshall & Swift/Boeckh.
