ATLANTA – Manheim will launch the next generation of online vehicle purchasing capabilities and a host of other technology products on its Web site, www.manheim.com.

The newOnline Vehicle Exchange will allow the company to house under one umbrella all Internet listings of used vehicles available for immediate purchase, enhancing convenience for buyers and sellers.

“It just makes sense - from our standpoint and from that of our customers - to make available in one place the entire inventory of bid or buy-now cars in the Manheim system, regardless of their location or current ownership,” said Joe Luppino, Manheim vice president and chief technology officer.

The Online Vehicle Exchange is an expansion of Manheim´s Dealer Exchange platform. Other Dealer Exchange enhancements include bid and buy-now car listings from all sources (dealers and commercial consignors, such as banks, manufacturers, leasing companies, fleet operators and others) and locations (dealers´ lots, auction facilities, a consignor´s upstream inventory, etc.).

A search function will allow users to search by the characteristics of the cars (e.g. make, model, mileage) as well as by owner. The site´s Dealer Exchange will remain among the search options to support users with a specific interest in shopping uniquely among the available dealer cars.

Shoppers looking for other specific inventory can browse through vehicles on Bank Vehicle Exchange and listings by other consignors.
