The National Auto Auction Association has named DAA Northwest Auto Auction as its 2019 Auto Auction of the Year for Excellence in Community Service.

The Washington-based auction received this recognition for its efforts to address the domestic violence, abuse, homelessness, hunger, school absenteeism, achievement gap, and other issues afflicting the children of its historically impoverished community, according to the association.

The association presented the award at its 71st annual convention, which was hosted in Indianapolis, Indiana this year. The award came with a $20,000 check for the charity of the auction’s choice, along with a crystal trophy.

DAA Northwest Auto Auction will also be featured on the NAAA’s magazine, as well as the 2020 Membership Directory.

Other auctions that were in the running for this award—and who had won their own regional awards—were ADESA Boston, Columbus Fair Auto Auction, and Louisiana’s 1st Choice Auto Auction.
