The Saratoga Automobile Museum has named William H. Windham III as its new auction director. Windham is an auction industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience in the automotive space.

Most recently, he served as sales and marketing manager for Auctions American and as VP of the automotive division of Morphy's Auctions.

In his new position, he will manger overall auction operations with a focus on attracting bidders and consignors for the Saratoga Auto Auction in September, the museum announced.

The Saratoga Auto Auction is in its third year of operation, and Windham is expected to lead the auction into its most significant year to date. Windham's experience in management, partnerships with luxury car dealerships, connections in the racing industry and with classic car collectors will be an asset to the auction, the museum stated.

The 2019 Saratoga Auto Auction will take place on Sept. 20-21 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
