KAR Auction Services has hired John Sibbitt as vice president of business development for its Recovery Database Network, which provides banks and credit unions with software and data solutions to manage repossession and the disposition value chain, KAR has announced.

In the role, he will be responsible for managing current network clients and identifying opportunities for growth.

Sibbitt brings eight years of experience in management, operations, and asset recovery experience to the role. He previously served as vice president of operations with PAR North America, a leading provider of vehicle transition services, including recovery management, skip tracing, remarketing, and title services. The company is also a KAR Auction Services business unit. He managed PAR's vendor network, overseeing compliance and managing the relationships of more than 700 recovery vendors.

Before joining PAR in 2012, Sibbitt oversaw a large specialty portfolio for Liberty Recovery Services.
