ADESA has named managers for auction locations in San Diego and San Jose as well as a new executive sales director for the company, corporate parent KAR Aucton Services, Inc. has announced.

Bobby Sylvester has been named general manager of ADESA San Diego and Harry Cadle has been named auction manager for ADESA San Jose.

Sylvester moves from ADESA San Jose, where he has served as general manager since November 2017. Previously, he served as fleet/lease manager at ADESA Portland. Sylvester’s auction industry career began in 2000 with management positions in detail and body shops for Brasher’s, before transitioning to roles in fleet/lease operations and management positions in national sales.

Cadle brings two decades of automotive remarketing industry experience to his new role managing day-to-day operations at ADESA San Jose. He has previously managed auctions in Florida and California and has an extensive background in sales at all levels of the industry. Most recently, he served as ADESA UVA sales manager. Cadle began his career in the industry as a branch manager for AFC in Bradenton, Fla., in 1998.

ADESA has also hired Rod Thompson as its executive sales director.

Thompson will be responsible for managing ADESA's commercial client relationships and leading commercial client efforts for physical auction and upstream remarketing services, as well as other related products and services.

Thompson brings more than 30 years of automotive, powersports and auction industry experience to his new role at ADESA. He joined ADESA Tulsa in 2015 as dealer sales and services manager. Thompson has grown as a leader, serving most recently as general manager at ADESA Tulsa. He spent more than 20 years in the powersports industry working for a major powersports manufacturer. He also worked as sales manager for his family’s Chrysler store.
