Alliance Auto Auctions has partnered with the Poiema Foundation to help raise money for victims of human tracking, the company announced.

For every vehicle that the auction group sells in 2018, it will donate a portion of the proceeds to the foundation. The auction group's goal is to raise $50,000 this year, said CEO Tim Adams.

The auction group raised $15,000 in the first quarter of 2018. Additionally, in late June, it held a charity auction that brought it $11,000, bringing the group's total to $26,000 this year.

The auction group chooses a different charity to support every year, and this year COO Christopher Dean and Adams selected The Poiema Foundation after hearing the work that the local organization was doing.

The Poiema Foundation is a Texas-based nonprofit organization that rescues victims of sex trafficking and raises awareness of the issue to help prevent sexual abuse, trafficking, and other methods of sexual exploitation.
