DriveTime, the second largest used-car retailer in the U.S., has appointed Don Reese as its new CEO.

Reese, a 30-year veteran of the auto sales business, is replacing Ray Fidel. He will also be appointed to the DriveTime Automotive Group and Bridgecast Acceptance boards of directors.

Most recently, Reese served as COO of Sheehy AutoStores. Before that, he served in various executive capacities at other auto groups, such as COO for 15 years at Gurley Leep Automotive; six years as senior vice president in operations and finance for AutoNation’s Midwest Region; and 11 years as COO/CFO for the Maroone Auto Group.
