Following the record consignor attendance that last year’s Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR) garnered, the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) will be holding a consignor-only group discussion on the first day of the 2018 CAR.

The discussion will be moderated by Fifth Third Bank’s National Remarketing Manager Tim Meta and Executive VP Asset Remarketing for Element Paul Seger.

The group discussion will be open only to consignors and will take a look at the issues affecting consignor’s remarketing efforts and the best practices that can be implemented to maximize residual values for a portfolio of vehicles.

Consignors in attendance will be able to share amongst each other what has worked and hasn’t worked in their personal experiences.

“As I consignor and member of the IARA, this is the opportunity for consignors to have a voice in where our industry is going, especially with topics we’re working on that are very pertinent to our businesses,” Seger said. “If you look at the network of consignors that are members of the IARA, it encompasses almost everyone in the industry; you don’t want to be left out of this organization.”

The session will be hosted by the IARA;however, it will be open to both members and non-members of the alliance.

Registration for the IARA Roundtable meetings and CAR / National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) conference is open now. IARA committee meetings will begin March 5, the day before the official start of CAR. Registration for a full conference pass is $895 before Feb. 2, 2018, but will raise $100 the following day.
