The IARA's technology committee is welcoming Steve Solomon, VP asset remarketing at Santander Consumer USA as co-chair.
Solomon brings over 20 years of experience in the remarketing industry, along with a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to IARA, noted fellow co-chair Venkat Krishnamoorthy, chief operating officer at Auto Auction Services Corp.
“I think the alliance is great for consignors because it allows us all to get together and talk about things that are current and going on in the industry where we can make improvement or take best ideas and practices and take them back to our own companies to try to implement something to be a more efficient remarketing group. I look forward to serving as co-chair of the technology committee,” said Solomon.
In addition to a new co-chair, the Technology Committee members also spent some time on-boarding IARA’s new Systems and Communications Coordinator Sharon Sutton.
“IARA is in good hands with Sharon and she brings a wealth of experience and the right mindset for this new role. She hit the ground running and has already been instrumental in making many positive changes for IARA,” said Krishnamoorthy.
The committee has performed minor updates to the IARA website, such as updating the main slider with updated photos of current events, along with major and minor works being done in the background to ensure the site keeps up with the latest IARA news.
Looking ahead, the committee hopes to grow the engagement metrics of the IARA audience. One of the ways it hopes to grow engagement is by tracking the membership interest in serving on IARA committees and then building a pipeline for future committee volunteers. The committee also hopes to employ survey tools to gauge what the IARA audience needs.
