Manheim is investing $17 million into its Retail Reconditioning solution — a service that provides dealers an alternative to in-house reconditioning — to enhance its current reconditioning locations and develop proprietary technology to enhance the solution.

This year alone, Manheim’s Retail Reconditioning solution has produced more than 30,000 retail-ready vehicles for its customers throughout the country, the company stated.

The solution’s reconditioning process takes anywhere from four to 10 days, according to the company. Services that the solution provides include a 140-point retail inspection, mechanical and body reconditioning, detail, merchandising, storage, and transportation.

Recent investments Manheim has made into its Retail Reconditioning solution include $9 million in on-location operations such as building out new facilities at three locations and enhancing other locations with new equipment.

Manheim’s retail reconditioning locations can be found in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Michigan, Georgia, Texas, Colorado, California, Washington, D.C., and South Carolina, according to the company. Additional sites will be added where there is demand, Manheim noted.
