Bruce Beam has returned to the post of general manager of Dealers Auto Auction of Oklahoma City (DAA/OKC), according to a company announcement.

First hired at DAA/OKC in 1992, Beam served in various roles up until 2012, when he left the auction to act as a consultant at Express Credit Auto, the largest buy here-pay here operation in Oklahoma.

DAA/OKC, however, is family operation for Beam. His wife serves as the auction’s controller and his father-in-law is the auction’s owner.

“The pull of family is strong and I decided it was time to return to DAA/OKC,” Beam said. “I am delighted to be back. I love the auction industry and consider it an honor to serve as the general manager at a facility that is both a member of the NAAA and the ServNet auction group.”

Beam’s first step in the auction industry began with DAA/OKC, when he was hired as an office manager at the auction shortly after graduation from Kansas State University in 1992. He was promoted to assistant general manager in 1994 and then general manager in 1998.
