A new co-listing capability being offered by RMS Automotive and Manheim is allowing open sale vehicles listed on manufacturers’ digital sales platforms powered by RMS Automotive to be simultaneously offered on Manheim.com and OVE, according to a company announcement.
BMW Group Financial Services — which opened its online remarketing channel to dealers last summer — was the first commercial consignor to co-list its national inventory of off-lease vehicles under this new offering earlier this year.
“Co-listing allows us to continue building on the significant growth we’re currently experiencing in our digital channels,” said Ed Berkowitz, vice president of product management for Cox Automotive Inventory Solutions. “By offering manufacturers’ ‘open sale’ listings to the largest base of online buyers on OVE and Manheim.com, we can offer dealers exclusive early access to thousands of pre-auction vehicles that can’t be found anywhere else.”
BMW began using the co-listing serviced offered by Manheim and RMS Automotive in March of this year. Since that time, BMW’s Group Financial Services, NA LLC’s online remarketing channel — BMWGroupDirect.com — has registered more than 2,700 new users, the company stated.
“It’s a win-win situation for everyone,” added Berkowitz. “Buyers enjoy a greater selection of inventory from the industry’s largest digital wholesale marketplace and BMW strengthens its upstream remarketing efforts by turning inventory faster, which translates to lower depreciation and holding costs.”
