Auto auction industry veteran Eric Wagner will take over as the general manager of Tallahassee Auto Auction, after being appointed by Charles Nichols, the president of BSC America.
In his new role, Wagner will be responsible for leading the operations and sales teams of the Tallahassee, Fla. location, according to the company. He will report to Tommy Rogers, a member of BSC America’s management team and general manager of the Bel Air Auto Auction in Maryland.
"BSC America’s Tallahassee Auto Auction has seen continued growth in both the dealer and commercial segments of our business," Rogers said. "Eric’s steady approach and experience in the Florida markets will be instrumental as we move forward with our plans for growth and expansion."
Before joining Tallahassee Auto Auction, Wagner’s spent time at both independent and corporate-owned auctions, the company stated. He’s worked at auction markets in Detroit; Flint, Mich.; Atlanta; and Florida. In 2010, the Florida Independent Automobile Dealers Association recognized Wager as its Auction Person of the Year.
"I am excited to return to my roots in the independent auction segment. To join BSC America, as they expand their footprint in the Bel Air Maryland region and beyond, gives me great pride to incorporate that same attitude of growth and expansion in the Tallahassee region," said Wagner. "Continual investments in technology and the latest ideas are a testament to the success and values that we want to bring to our dealers."
