TPC Management Company has made two executive appointments, promoting Penny Wanna to the post of president of Auction Academy, and Jiles Wanna as vice president client services of TPC.
Both employees have been with the company for more than 10 years, and have served in senior management positions prior to their recent promotions.
"Without a doubt, Penny is the heart and soul of Auction Academy, a fact which can be attested to by all four class groups that have graduated to date as well as all the speakers and sponsors who have supported the program," said Pierre Pons, CEO and co-founder of Auction Academy. "Penny believed strongly in the Auction Academy from the early days of its inception, and many sessions have been successful because of her determination and sheer force of will."
Penny Wanna has been with Auction Academy since its inception in 2012, according to the company. Before joining TPC, she served as a resource management reports analyst at Comcast Cable for 10 years. Along with her new responsibilities, Penny Wanna will also continue with her duties as vice president of administration for TPC Management Company (TPC) and ServNet Auctions.
"From the beginning our goal has been to bring a professional, top-level training experience to the auto auction industry," said Wanna. "It has been a pleasure to work with the academy’s first class group, made up of the sons and daughters of some of the best independent auto auctions in the country, and subsequently with professionals from all corners of the industry."
Jiles Wanna, who previously served as director of business development at TPC prior to this promotion, has been named vice president client services.
“Since joining our firm 13 years ago, Jiles has become an invaluable member of our team. He has worked through each and every discipline by which we provide services to our clients, expanding his industry knowledge and excelling in his effectiveness for our customer base,” said Pauline Pons, TPC vice president and co-founder.
Wanna joined TPC in 2004. Since then he has worked on projects under all three umbrellas of the firm including TPC Consulting & Recruiting, Auction Academy and ServNet Auctions, according to the company.
Throughout his career, he’s received numerous certifications including Certified Automotive Remarketer, Vehicle Remarketing Industry Certification through the IARA/Northwood University program, and Manheim’s condition Report Writer Certification.
