Manheim opened a Retail Solutions Center in Flat Rock, Mich., to provide dealers with access to services that produce retail-ready vehicles. Retail Solutions’ offerings include acquisitions, inspections, reconditioning, merchandising, transportation and more.
Manheim’s Retail Solutions is designed to offer back-end services that enable dealers to fill service capacity gaps and focus on customer engagement, as well as reduce vehicle turn time and overhead by lowering personnel and fixed costs, according to Manheim
“By bringing together other Cox Automotive brands, Manheim’s Retail Solutions is in a unique position to deliver end-to-end services that clients value,” said Grace Huang, senior vice president of inventory services. “It’s a natural extension of our wholesale auction activities, and dealers have told us that the service choices help with their inventory readiness and logistics needs.”
Manheim will fill approximately 75 positions for the new facility by the end of 2016, according to the company.
Manheim Retail Solutions was established at Manheim Denver in 2015, which later expanded to Manheim Chicago. Earlier this year, the company announced a plan to invest $5 million to serve larger geographical markets through Manheim Darlington, S.C. and Manheim Flat Rock, as well as Manheim Orlando, Manheim St. Louis and Manheim Houston, which is scheduled to open by year’s end.
