ZADEITS

At the National Remarketing Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., Cherokee Media Group President Bill Zadeits was surprised by a special presentation naming him the National Auto Auction Association’s (NAAA) 89th Warren Young Sr. Fellow. Cherokee Media Group is a full-service media and event management company with roots dating back to 1990 and the formation of Cherokee Publishing.

NAAA President Mike Browning presented Zadeits with the lifetime distinction and announced that the organization would be donating $2,500 in Zadeits’ name to the NAAA Warren Young Sr. Scholastic Foundation Inc. The award is named for a pioneer of the auto auction industry and recognizes major contributions to the NAAA and its namesake Foundation. Cherokee Media Group founder Ron Smith is a past recipient of the award.

The award presentation caught Zadeits off guard, as Cherokee Media Group is the event organizer of the National Remarketing Conference, part of a weeklong series of events under the banner of Used Car Week.

“We are extremely proud of Bill and his many accomplishments,” said Smith. “Not only has he significantly raised the profile of the auto remarketing industry through many publications and digital media, he is a great partner and friend.”
