MetroGistics, a provider of automotive logistics services, announced the hiring of Bob Brinson, CPA as its new vice president of finance. In this capacity, Brinson will manage accounting operations, human resources, and professional relationships with lenders, insurance companies, accounting firms and law firms. He will also advise ownership and managing partners on financial matters.

Brinson has extensive experience in accounting and finance dating back to 1980 when he began his career at Arthur Andersen and rose to the position of audit manager. More recently, he has served as chief financial officer for several privately held entrepreneurial businesses growing enterprise value. He has also provided senior-level financial services to various entities as an independent consultant.

Brinson became a certified public accountant in 1981 and is a member of several professional associations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, Executive Connections and the Financial Executives Networking Group. He earned his BSBA degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
