Carmel, Ind.-based KAR Auction Services, Inc., a provider of used-vehicle auction services, announced that Noah Jaehnert, security architecture program manager and enterprise security strategist for KAR, was selected as this year’s Up-and-Coming Security Professional by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2. The selection was part of the organization’s 2015 Americas Information Security Leadership Awards (Americas ISLA).

The Americas ISLA program recognizes the achievements of outstanding cyber and information security professionals for improving industry workforce standards. The Up-and-Coming Security Professional award specifically highlights a new professional who is a rising star in the information security field. Nominees for the awards are from North, South and Central America. Jaehnert was presented with the award at the Americas ISLA gala and ceremony held in Anaheim, Calif. on September 30.

As security architecture program manager at KAR, Jaehnert provides strategic security architecture leadership for the applications and infrastructure supporting the KAR group of companies. Prior to joining KAR, Jaehnert was a senior information security consultant with Indianapolis-based Crowe Horwath LLP, and has served in internships with Milwaukee-based Brady Corporation, Crowe Horwath, and Alpharetta, Ga.–based McKesson Health IT. He earned his master’s degree in information systems from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and his bachelor’s degree in informatics from Indiana University–Bloomington. He has also previously been named the 2015 Cisco Champion for Security.
