KAR Auction Services, Inc., provider of used-vehicle auction services, announced that Rich Levene has been promoted from director to vice president of enterprise optimization for KAR Auction Services. KAR Auction Services Executive Vice President of Enterprise Optimization David Vignes made the announcement.

In this role, Levene is responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to maximize resources and widen synergies across all of KAR’s business units, as well as leading the enterprise optimization team.  

“Rich’s proven track record of success, in-depth industry experience and unmatched attention to detail make him the best choice for this position,” said Vignes. “We are confident he will continue to contribute to KAR’s growth through his innovative contributions and thought-leadership.”

Levene joined the KAR enterprise optimization team in 2011, serving as director. In this role, he led the initiative to improve the effectiveness of KAR’s safety programs. Prior to that, as national remarketing director for KAR subsidiary PAR North America, Levene led the successful integration of CarsArrive technology with ADESA’s transportation operations in North America.

Levene has more than 20 years of remarketing experience. He held several key remarketing management positions while he was employed at CitiFinancial Auto and HSBC. He also served as assistant general manager of ADESA Golden Gate from 2001 to 2005, and then worked for two years at ADESA’s corporate office in Carmel, Ind., analyzing business operations at several ADESA locations. Levene holds a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn.
