Fiserv, Inc., a provider of financial services technology solutions, named Carolina Auto Auction, based in Anderson, S.C., the top performing automobile auction house of 2013.

Carolina Auto Auction has continually been a top performer and ranked in the top three overall auctions every year since 2002. The auction also finished in third place last year and finished in first place six times in the past nine years.

Fiserv began ranking auto auctions in 2001 to serve as a guide for lenders seeking the greatest potential return on their outsourcing investment and to identify qualified partners. Rankings are tabulated to reflect overall customer service, operational efficiencies, sale preparation and marketing with the main emphasis on sales retention.

“Carolina Auto Auction is an excellent auction partner,” said Megan Haley, director of remarketing strategies, Lending Solutions, Fiserv. “They excel in every aspect of our program, consistently deliver outstanding levels of service and proactively work to exceed client expectations.”

Indiana Auto Auction of Fort Wayne, Ind., which finished first overall in 2012, placed second in 2013. With three overall first-place finishes and top-three performances in each of the last 12 years, Manheim Harrisonburg Auto Auction, based in Harrisonburg, Va., placed third in 2013.

Fiserv also recognized auctions, by region, that had the strongest performances in customer service and operational excellence in 2013:

  • Northeast: Auto Auction of New England, based in Londonderry, N.H.
  • Central/Midwest: ADESA Cleveland, based in Northfield, Ohio
  • Southeast: Rawls Auto Auction, based in Columbia, S.C.
  • Southwest: ADESA Colorado Springs, based in Colorado Springs, Colo.
  • West: Brasher’s Northwest, based in Eugene, Ore.

Fiserv provides end-to-end solutions to the automotive market that minimize risk, expedite vehicle sales, maintain compliance and lead to higher levels of borrower satisfaction. These solutions are used by captive finance companies, banks, specialty lenders and credit unions for loan and lease origination, account servicing, loss and risk mitigation, lease maturity management and vehicle remarketing. As part of its outsourcing model for auto finance lenders, Fiserv partners with auction groups to remarket off-lease and repossessed vehicles, and Fiserv managed the remarketing of 40,000 vehicles in 2013.

This business within Fiserv, originally known as Remarketing Services of America, recently rebranded as Fiserv to align with the rest of the company. The change was in name alone as Fiserv continues to provide services that successfully move returned vehicle inventory.
