Clinton Township, N.J., collected $6,100 at auction for a 1981 Mack CF686F12 fire pumper truck, which will head to New England.

The vehicle, which was listed for $6,000, sold to a Connecticut firm called New England Fire Equipment and Apparatus. The Class A pumper was refurbished in 1997, reports the Hunterdon County Democrat.

Mack Trucks produced fire apparatus from 1911 to 1990, when the company abruptly shut down production.
