America’s Auto Auction has named Angela Yarborough as the assistant general manager at its auction facility in Houston, according to an April 22 press release.

"Angela Yarborough's many years in the industry and her understanding of the independent auction makes her a perfect fit in Houston, and we look forward to a long and successful relationship,” said John Swofford, senior vice president of America’s Auto Auction.

Yarborough brings more than 30 years of experience to her new post.  She began her auction career in 1989, when she was hired at Rawls Auto Auction as a block clerk. She worked for nearly three decades at Rawls, serving in the fleet/lease department, in business development and as the facility’s assistant general manager. She went on to work in national sales and as an auction general manager in the Houston area before arriving at America’s Auto Auction.

“Her vast knowledge of the industry and her devotion to customer service will both benefit our customers and make us an even stronger auction team,” general manager Ben Nash said in the news release.

Nash notes that America’s Auto Auction Houston, which opened in October 2015, has recorded significant increases in its customer base as well as consignment volumes over the past six months along with a return to live in-lane selling.  “With all that’s happening in our market, we determined it was time to hire an assistant general manager, and Angela was the ideal choice,” Nash said.

“From my first day at America’s Auto Auction Houston I knew that I’d found my new home,” Yarborough said. “The independent auction is part of my DNA, and I can tell that’s something I share with the employees here in Houston. A great majority of the them have worked at the auction since it opened, and they all exhibit what’s best about an independent; they all work together to get the job done, whatever it takes, putting the customer first."

Founded in 2005, America’s Auto Auction, Inc. is the third-largest auto auction company in the U.S. with 23 locations. Additional information on all the America’s Auto Auction facilities can be found at www.americasautoauction.com.
