Direct Automotive Services Names CFO

Direct Automotive Services (DAS), formerly Direct Auction Services, named Steve Watson as chief financial officer (CFO) effective May 6, 2020, where he oversees the financials, accounting, HR/Payroll, administration and IT departments.

His operations will be run with the help of a team of DAS Managers and Controller for all five of DAS’ brands; Roadrunner Services, Direct Reconditioning, Auction Tires Online, Labor on Loan, and The Vehicle Inspectors. 

Watson joins DAS from Wholesale Inc., based out of Hendersonville, Tenn. 

Watson served eight years as CFO at Wholesale Inc. during which time he positioned the company for maximum valuation, ultimately transitioning the company to RumbleOn.

“I am excited to work with the team at DAS. My goal is to use my experience and background to grow the financial and administration department. The company has grown rapidly in the past and is poised to grow even more,” said Watson. 

Watson has more than 29 years of experience in the accounting and finance arena. Watson holds an MBA from Belmont University’s Massey School of Business and BS in Computer Science from Lipscomb University. He is also a certified public accountant.
